The right to information is considered as an essential condition to promote democracy. That is why the right to information has become a matter of interest and concern for everyone today. It is the responsibility of the state to provide the citizens with the important information about the process to make them participate in the process of the government system. And it is also very necessary.

Elevating Your Right for Information.

Building strong networks of likeminded organizations and individuals to fight against corruption, bribery and misuse of public resources. Develop RTI campaigners in each local level to expose corruption with evidence, to stop monopoly and curtailing and supporting media to eradicate misinformation and disinformation and hate speech. To promote community awareness for accountable and transparent public service providers on issues of right to information, particularly, among the youth, women, dalits, indigenous, and other minority groups through collaborative planning, community action, and policy advocacy.

National Federation for RIght to Information

Every Nepali citizen living in Nepal and abroad, all the public bodies designated by the laws of Nepal, as well as volunteers who are active in promoting the right to information.

Over the years, our efforts have resulted in tangible improvements in governance, transparency, and citizen participation. Through advocacy, capacity building, and community engagement, we have contributed to a more informed, empowered, and inclusive society in Nepal.

We believe that access to information is essential for empowering individuals and communities. By promoting access to government statistics, technological resources, and human rights education, we equip citizens with the tools they need to advocate for their rights and interests.

We are duly registered with government bodies such as the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, and the Social Welfare Council. Our compliance with legal requirements ensures our legitimacy and strengthens our ability to effect positive change within the framework of the law.

With branches in all 7 provinces, 77 districts, and 753 local levels, we ensure that no community is left behind. Our extensive geographical scope allows us to engage with diverse populations and tailor our initiatives to meet their specific needs.

We prioritize transparency in all our endeavors. By advocating for the right to information, we empower citizens with the knowledge they need to hold institutions accountable and participate meaningfully in governance processes.
